There are many good places to retire on a budget, many are going to say Costa Rica, some are going to say Belize, some may even say Cuenca!, would i agreed with that? No. I don’t agree with any of them. the best place to retire overseas on a budget is Medellín, plain and simple. Let me explain to you why.  Here the dollar goes really far. i can, with confidence said to you that with 2k USD at 3.000 pesos per dollar you be living very well. (today the price of the dollar is at 3.600 pesos) so you do the math.
